Choose a rubber by sponge hardness and topsheet grip, not by the biggest spin number on the packet. A softer sponge is easier when you open against backspin. A harder sponge is faster and stays more stable once your brush contact is already clean. TTMode ships these sheets from Vilnius.

Rubber questions

What sponge thickness should I start with?

Most attacking players start around 1.8 mm to 2.0 mm. Max thickness feels faster. A thinner sponge is easier to control.

Inverted, short pips, or long pips?

Inverted rubber is the normal attacking sheet. Short pips play flatter, with less spin. Long pips are for disrupting spin, usually on the backhand.

Do both sides need the same rubber?

No. A faster sheet on the forehand and a more controlled sheet on the backhand is a common setup.

When should I replace a rubber?

Replace it when the topsheet loses grip or the sponge feels dead. The blade can stay.

How do I store a new sheet?

Leave the protective film on until you glue it, and keep the sheet out of direct sun and heat.
